Summer travels - Florida, Part 2

Casey, Sandra, Mike, Robby, Amy and John

While in St. Pete, we also had a visit with niece and nephew Amy and Robby and Amy's children Casey and John. We met in the local Cracker Barrel, so, once again, mealtime was bonding time!

Grandniece Casey is blossoming into a lovely young woman.

Handsome grandnephew John shares a birthday with me!

Amy completed her two-year associate degree, magna cum laude!, a little over a year ago. She works hard as a single mom to Casey and John and a full-time student now pursuing her B.S. degree in Education.

At first I didn't recognize Robby ... it had been so many years since I'd last seen him. He is much taller than I remembered: 6 feet 4 inches! He said he was preparing to start a lawn care business with his dad, even though he had sustained some recent back injuries. I wish him so much luck with his efforts.

Robby has had some tough breaks in life and has lived through some rough times and lost a few friends. One is memorialized in a tattoo (first one below). Robbie showed me all of his tatoos.

Robby told me that he has settled down now and is no longer hanging out in risky situations. That is very good news. I hope Robby stays strong and keeps up his new resolution to live safe and put family first.

Robby towers over Amy and me.

We enjoyed visiting on the Cracker Barrel front porch.
